Re: abandoned property

What constitutes "abandoned" property is hard to define and is mostly a factual question. In some instances where a tenant moves out at the end of his lease or just disappears, a landlord, a mechanic or other similar workman has some statutes to rely on. A lot of the question centers around the facts regarding the property. What was the nature of the property? How was it used and by whom? Why was it placed where it was in the first place? Some remedies include your advertising some action with respect to the property in the local "official" paper. If the property is of any value, you should consult an attorney in an office to get the best answer. As you can see, this can get complicated.
