Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

Can our landlord legally evict us?

My husband and landlady had a brief, verbal confrontation. She now wants us to move out of the house we are renting from her. We are only in the 2nd month of a 6-month lease! She wants us out by the end of the month.

Can she do this? We have 3 children under age 5, and have come all the way from Chicago. We are at a loss!

Re: Can our landlord legally evict us?

The lease spells out how it can be terminated. Without reading it, I would have a difficult time of giving a very specific answer. In most cases, it you have complied with your duties under the lease then the landlord has to live with it. Read the lease carefully and act accordingly. Look in the phone book for legal aid services or consult a local attorney with your lease.
