there is no such thing as "Squatters" rights in Kentucky. Generally, Kentucky law presumes that you should know what is going on with your property, especially over the course of time. this is part of the reasoning behind the principles of "Adverse Possession". This is the possession of land under a claim of right or color of title, to well defined boundaries, adversely to the world for 15 years. This does not mean that one automatically owns land but it does give one some sort of standing to claim it. There is not enough space here to go into a very accurate and detailed explanation. EVERYTHING depends on the particular facts of the situation. Questions of "How did you come into possession of the land?" are important.
