Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky
Lawn Care
My mother's landlord has always provided lawn care for the duplex she resides in, but this year the landlord decided they are not going to be responsible for lawn care. The landlord did not call my mother or her neighbor to let them know. The way we found out was I called to ask if my boyfriend could cut the grass and they take it off our rent, because we live across the street and know when the grass needs to be cut. The landlord we have now has owned this property for almost 1 year and agreed with the former landlord to provide lawn care for the duplex. My mother has lived there almost 6 years. What can my mother and neighbor do about the landlords sudden decision not to do lawn care this year?

Re: Lawn Care
If lawn care is provided in the lease then it can be enforced by some sort of court action. There is a cost factor, that is the court action may be more expensive than the lawn care is worth. If lawn care is not provided in the lease, forget it and find a mower.
