purchase of home
i have given downpayment, made house payments to seller; also paid property taxes and insurance for the past six years and now seller states he can not transfer the property in my name due to income tax deductions he has taken on that property. the seller has made no repairs, paid no taxes, or insurance. the tax deductions on his taxes for this property i have paid and have proof. the seller will notrefund my money or move forward in making me a clear deed. i refuse to pay anymore house payments or taxes, or insurance. what can i do?

I am hoping that you have a written contract of sale. The contract will govern this situation and the situation is more than can be dealt with in particular here. What you need to do is take all of your paperwork to an attorney and let him/her review it. You appear to have a lot invested and the consultation may be a lot cheaper than you think if not free. Generally, if there is a written contract of sale, the seller cannot back out if you have complied with your part.
