Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. While in the relationship we both purchased dogs. He paid for one and I paid for the other. Right now he is taking care of both dogs. The ex is denying me any access to see my dog. I have tried to be the nice guy but in return he is being the mean guy. Since he does not want any contact with me, what is the best way to get access to get my dog with out breaking any laws?

You could file a small claims complaint in district court and claim ownership of one of the dogs. You would need some type of documentation or other evidence that you owned or purchased the dog in question. You do not need an attorney to file a small claims complaint, however, you may want to consult an attorney.
