Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

Verbal Contract w/ Witness

My husband's Uncle died a few months ago. And while we were there for the funeral his wife promised my husband a Trik..motorcycle to him. They agreed on the terms and price. All in front of a witness. Then she said that the sell of the bike needed to be put off untill the settlement of the estate. Well now she is saying she wants to keep the bike because she may want to ride it. What grounds do we have to get the bike and how should we go about it? My husband helped build this bike with his uncle. And his uncle and this women were only married 3 years. Plus she was not in a will. Also the uncle had a daugher with a pervise wife. Which also wants my husband...his nephew to have the bike. What should we do to get the bike? And how do we go about it?

Re: Verbal Contract w/ Witness

The real question is whether you would really take legal action (and pay a lawyer, since this is not a small claims court issue), to try to enforce this "contract" made by a widow at her husband's funeral (who even brought up the issue at the funeral?)? And bring someone else into the dispute as a witness or to provide their irrelevant opinion about who should get it?
