Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Kentucky

Fifth amendment

Hi, a family memeber and I recently reported a case of possible child abuse to a social worker, involving an adult abusing children under 18. We gave our names to the social worker upon doing this. The social worker then investigated the allegations. Some children in the case reported to the social worker these allegations were true. The case may now go to court. If the case goes to court, will we as reporters have to attend? Or do reporters usually not attend if there is enough evidence from the victims? Also, can a person envoke the fifth amendment if the court knows they have records that may pertain to a case? Thanks...

Re: Fifth amendment

You as reporters would have to attend only if you're subpoenaed.

The Fifth Amendment could be invoked by a person

who is testifying under oath and who may have some criminal liability or exposure with respect to the matter about which he's testifying.
