Re: Determining heirs to deceased grandfathers property

Various factors are considered in determining succession to property, depending on the state, which factors generally includes (among others) whether a will was left by the decedent and whether the will specified a residual beneficiary for property not specifically mentioned in the will. It is recommended that an attorney review the pertenent documents (including the will, the real estate deeds, and other related documents) as well as review the statutes in the applicable jurisdictions, as well as other necessary items, in order to assist further. -- Linda
