Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky
I want to draw up a legal will. I have 2 grown sons and love both with all of my heart. I am a lone woman, 67 years old. One son helps me more than the other, doing maintenance work to my home (inside and out) including yard work, shoveling snow, etc., takes me shopping, to appointments, etc. He is the one who phones me at least 3 times a week, comes by, etc. Can I legally leave more to him than the other son? What would be a good percentage without hard feelings?

You can legally leave any amount or none at all to either or both sons as you are the master of your property. One suggestion I have for you is to explain to the one getting less exactly why he is getting less so that he does not contest the will when it is submitted for probate. There is also the option of including a gentle explanation in the Will document itself.
If this is something you would like help with then I would be glad to assist you further.
I wish you all the best.
