Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

my father passed away in january and ive been living in a trailer he verbaly said was mine 10 years ago he had no will so everything is inestate with that being said do i have to move out and and allow it and everything else to be sold and divided among the children or do i get to keep the trailer and get a 1/3 of everything else?

Because a mobile home has a title, if he didn't transfer title into your name, I think you'd have difficulty proving that he passed ownership to you in his lifetime. If he intended for you to have it after his death, he would have needed to write a proper will. Wills cannot be oral.

I'd say if the other heirs want to assert a claim on the trailer, that you just trade your interest in other assets for getting the trailer, or buy out their interest. Talk to the heirs and the executor about it. Surely a trailer that is over ten years old is worth practically nothing to anyone but you.
