Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

Heirloom property

We have an heirloom bed in our family that belonged to my great great grandmother. My Grandmother (still living) passed it to my Dad with the understanding that it would go to me. My dad recently passed suddenly at a young age, and therefore had no will. My stepmother refuses to give it to me, allthough she knew the conditions of the agreement. She is about to move out of the state to go back to her ex-husband and I need to move fast. Can she legally keep it even though my grandmother (who the agreement was made with)is still alive to contest it?

Re: Heirloom property

Sure, you could contest it but what is it worth to you? You and your grandmother would have to sue her and after many dollars later, a jury might decide your way. you might try small claims in Kentucky.
