Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

husband died

My husband recently died. He had a couple of unpaid credit cards and had co-signed for a couple of loans. My name is not on any of the credit cards or loans, so will I have to pay for these credit cards or loans? The house was in my name only, can they make me sell my home to cover his debts?

Re: husband died

Debts of a deceased are paid only out of that person's estate. You would not be personally responsible for his debts. However, there just aren't enough facts available here to say for certain what is marital and what is non-marital so it would be advisable to get a consult with an attorney.
