Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

Land conservation

I want my farm to remain whole. How do I leave my farm to my three children so that it takes all three signitures to sell or lease any portion of it?

Re: Land conservation

I would recommend putting the farm into a trust which spells out exactly what you want to have happen. Depending on the value of the farm, the trust may be structured so as to save on estate taxes. This is something you really want to spend a few hundred dollars on with an estate planning attorney. The investment will save you in the long run.

You can leave the farm to the three children in a will. They would each have an undivided 1/3 interest. To sell the farm outright, all three would have to sign the deed. However, this would not provide all the protection you want.
