Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

probate

My sister and berother in law passed abway well over a year ago. The guardian of their estate.quit iin after my brother in law passed away,leaving my sister i law in a nusing home.After she passed,the state took over and sold the house and belongings. Nothing was ver done to the custodan, She cleared out the safety deposit boxes etc. The lawyer handling the will,completely distance himself from the problem.After numerous calls, today I was told I had to be elected esecutor and then it goes to Probate ! The will was written and clear,now the 60 or so thousand will be eaten up by the lawyer and probate .As far as I know.the lawyer has done nothing,but raw up the wills.
