Legal Question in Workers Comp in Kentucky

Denied workmens comp.

I hurt my back while at work. I am a cartified nursing assistant and do alot of lifting and pulling on patients. When i hurt my back I was leaning on a counter checking my work schedule. I couldnt straighten back up. I was told to go to convient care to see a doctor. After being of work fro 3 weeks and having HR tell me that I would get paid and my7 medicals bills would get paid workers comp denied my claim because my injury did not arise in the course of my job. What can I do to dispute this??

You should have been given notice in writing by the workers comp. insurer about the denial and how to appeal the decision. Be sure to follow those directions and appeal within the time-fram given. I suggest going to a local attorney who does this kind of work and seeing if they will take your case.
