Legal Question in Immigration Law in Kenya

Mentioning relatives when applying for a VISA

Dear sir or madam,

My brother is applying for a VISA to come in the US. Does he needs to mention that he has a brother here when filling up the application or No? Will they find out anyway if he puts No there?

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Re: Mentioning relatives when applying for a VISA

He does have to mention that his brother is a LPR if he is completing form DS-156.

It is possible for the consulate to find out the truth and if they do, your brother will be inadmissible into the US because of making a fraudulent statement in a visa application.

I am not sure what type of visa he is applying for but if he is asked about family members on the application he should answer all questions truthfully.
