Legal Question in Family Law in Korea (South)
Question concerning marruage
Married in United States in November 1998; filed for annulment in June 1999 in Nebraska. Left the US in June 2000 thinking that marriage had been annulled. Married again in Korea in November 2002. Found out that first marriage had not been annulled but granted divorce in October 2003. Can the US (states) charge me with bigamy if I was divorced from first spouse prior to returning to United States and is the second marriage void?

Re: Question concerning marruage
The second marriage is void. Of course, you could get remarried before or after returning to the states.
I think being prosecuted for bigamy is not very likely.
