job termination

i'm working as medical representstive for a multinational company for more than ten years &the company decided to close the operation in lebanon,as a compensation or job cut what are my rights?

Being a "medical representative" doesn't really say much..Do you mean you are a commercial representative for the company hired to enhance their business in the Lebanese market? Because in such case you are protected by the Code of Commerce & you can sue for quite a high compensation for the value you brought to the company.

However, if you were merely an employee working on a time schedule with a designated salary at the end of the month, but then the company decided to rap up its operations in Lebanon & close its offices; well in that case, they need 1st to inform the Ministry of Labor in order to avoid any arbitrary lay offs of their employees & ensure that their reasons are compatible with the Ministry's requirements; either way, we need to assess whatever documentation you might have to decide on the nature of the contract between you, before giving a final advice on such a matter.
