Legal Question in Disability Law in Louisiana
My ex-husband filed for bankrupcy, now the creditors are coming after me, the account was a credit card and the purchases were bought after our divorce. Am I responsible?

If the credit card was community and you did not settle your community, you may be responsible. You should bring all of your divorce, community property and any paperwork pertaining to this credit card to an attorney to answer the creditors. You may be able to satisfy the creditors by giving them certified copies of the divorce and community property papers if they show that he had possession/use of credit card and you didn't.
