Legal Question in Disability Law in Louisiana

I injury my back on the job, I remember picking up a box of I.V. liquids pulling something but kept on working. It was until 7 months later that I was shuffling & unable to work with ease. I went to a chiropractor but eventually had to have back surgery, Two year post surgery, now, my back & legs are getting difficulty to use with ease & I decided to cut back to 20hrs for benefits & babysit at home for extra income & I am having a difficult time getting the company to honor my decision. What rights do I have? I am not asking them to work for me; I am a darn good employee. I want to prevent anything worst so that I can enjoy my retire years. As a single parent I am finally down to the last year & a half of my last child graduating high school. I want to enjoy my later years being able to walk & travel between my children & grandchildren.

You should have filed for workers comp when the injury occurred. You are probably beyond the prescriptive period now.
