Legal Question in Disability Law in Louisiana
Is it legal for a store like Walmart to stop you before you leave at the exits and demand you to show a receipt before you can leave with your purchases? What could they do if you left the store without showing your receipt ? It makes me feel as if they think every customer is a thief, and also if you didn't have a receipt for an item could they have you arrested since you haven't left the store?
