I agree with Mr. Nance. Appellate practice is extremely difficult. While you certainly do have the right to represent yourself in the appellate court, you will be committing legal suicide. If you are already over your head before the record has been lodged, you certainly have no chance of getting through the appellate process without a lawyer.

It means you need an attorney. You can't represent yourself in cases on appeal.
