Legal Question in Banking Law in Louisiana
In the state of Louisiana if you& someone else has a car in both your names & it is financed in both names what can you do to keep the other from taking it or have it put in just one of your namesthat is paying everything on it?Bank where financed won't do it.(Not a married couple).

Nothing, really. The lender can't be compelled to put the car in your name only. You can file a petition to partition the property and have the Court force them to sell out either to you or a third party, but the costs of doing that are likely more than the car is worth.
