Re: Bankrupt & Your Physian
Dear Lawguru Friend,
I think any doctor can refuse to treat any patient; nevertheless, once he has taken a patient on, there are certain rules that he must follow to terminate the former physican-patient relationship, such as to make your medical records available to you and/or your new physician, and perhaps advise you of your present condition and of the necessity, if one exists, for you to consult with another physician. There may be other considerations involved with the situation your present in your question, but this is the best answer that I can give you, based on my forty years's of law practice and professional experience. Good luck!
Sincerely,
Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
