Joint inheritance

my husband and i need to file chapter 7 because an excessive amount of credit card bills. he inherited pro[erty with his two brothers several years ago. the property is in all three brother's names and has never been divided up. how will filing chapter 7 affect the property and the other brothers.

The trustee will offer to sell your husband his interest in the succession at some price. If he buys it, nothing will change and it will not affect his siblings. In the alternative, he could offer to sell your husband's in interest to his siblings. If he or his brothers do not want to buy it back from the trustee, the trustee could file a partition action against the brothers, but I think that is unlikely. I strongly suggest you consult an attorney.
