Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana
Residency - Apartment Leasing
I live in an apartment and my lease is up at the end of the month. My court date is the end of the first week of next month. If I choose to end my lease and move in with my mother to save money to pay back personal debts I have incurred (I owe childsupport back pay), would that have an effect on my case? Should I hold over my lease 1 month until after the court date?

Re: Residency - Apartment Leasing
First, I suggest you consult the attorney handling your bankruptcy. I assume the court date you mean is the 341(a) meeting of creditors. If this is the case, your staying or leaving the apt. does not matter as this has no effect on your bankruptcy.
