Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana

My wife is being sued

My with is being sued for a dog bite. The puppy bit someone who was aggitating the dog. Now she is filing Chapter 7 on credit card debts. This case is now set to go to trial. We have nothing to give this person, or the creditors either. She is hesitating about filing bankruptcy now because of this lawwsuit. She is worried about how it will effect the other parties involved. The person is also sueing her former employer for not ''controlling'' her, even though she was not working at the time, as well as, their insurance company. Should she go ahead and file bankruptcy on this too? How will it effect her? Will she still have to go to court because there are more parties involved? Thank you for your time.

Generally a debtor should include all debts in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Consult your lawyer.
