Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana

i bought some furniture from a store and signed a contract but i did not take the furniture because i was in the process of closing on my home. i go back to the sore with my girlfriend and she didnt like the furniture so i decide i want to cancel my contract and i was told that i would have to pay a 25% restocking fee and it has that written on the bottom of the contact but it states in the event you wanted to return your your furniture. but i never got the furniture so is that contract still valid and it has been less than thirty days i signed the contract

Any attorney will tell you to try and negotiate with the store. You make a good point about your not taking delivery yet, so there should not be a restocking fee. The store will likely say they are entitled to their profit margin on the transaction. If negotiations fail, you can always try small claims court. Who knows what a judge will decide. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
