Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
business disclosure
I joined an organization called YTB, which is an online travel
agency, for $250.00 down. The total amount is $449.00
After 21 days I cancelled being a representative and requested a refund on my investment because their inability to be honest about their training procedures and giving the representatives the information needed to be successful in their business. In other words I was told that I was going to be trained (I wasn't), that I was part of a team that I could contact anytime day or night (I wasn't) and that the individual that introduced me into the company was experienced and would assist me (she wasn't and needed their assistance and didn't get it). I was told my YTB customer service reps and compliance people that I could not receive a refund because when I paid my money that meant that I knew about their 5 day refund policy. The gentlemen who signed me up (James Avery) did it so fast, he presented no disclosures to me and as a result I had no idea that their policy was less than 30 days. Please inform me of what form of action I can take to recover my $250.00 fee. Thank you.

Re: business disclosure
You don't have an easy way to do this. But I'd like to know more about what they've done.
