Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
If I have a business that is Incorp with a dba name and I had problems with my landlord in which I am filing a lawsuit against due to breach of contract. I am opening in a new location. To protect my new business should I open a NEW corportation and new dba, or can I use the old corportation with a new dba name to protect the new busines?
Thanks,
Rober

As a franchise attorney I can say it's not possible to answer your question without more facts. In most cases, it's not necessary to start a new corporation or even change the dba, but again, more facts are needed. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
