Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
check writting
I wrote a check for $350.00 to a loan company and in return they loaned me $300.00. Now a few months later i havent been able to repay the loan and the bank has closed my account due to overdraft charges. Can the loan company submit this check to the D.A?

Re: check writting
Depends on what type agreement you had with them. You took 300 and left 350 to cover it. If they decide to cash it and it bounces, then they may seek theft charges against you. I would check with the worthless check division in your DA'S office. They can tell you their policy.
