Yes and no. Generally, you will be responsible for rent until the landlord finds another tenant. While leases generally allow a landlord to demand ALL rent owed under the lease if you vacate early, once the landlord has a new tenant in the space, he can't keep charging you on top of charging someone else as well (then he'd be getting double rent).
