Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
I am filing a law suit in Small Claims court, city of Shreveport against a company that did less than competent work they were hired to do. The company is an LLC as is stated on their invoice. If I suit the LLC and win, I understand they could file for bankruptcy and therefore not have to pay the amount sued for. If I suit the agent as an individual, that wouldn't hold true. Can I suit the agent for the LLC even though payment was made to his company name? The amount being sought is $5,000.00. Thank you
