Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
Am I liable to pay a refund to someone who claims they didn't recieve the produc
Someone won an online auction I had posted. They sent a money order to pay, and I sent out the product. Two weeks later they said they never recieved it. So I sent another one. Again they said they never recieved it. So once again I sent another one. Again they said the same thing, now they want their money back. It is only $5, but I have lost over $20 in product.
I KNOW I sent this to the right address. For all I know she is scamming me and has all three of those products. Am I responsible for sending her the $5 back? She didn't ask for mailing insurance on the product, so I did not provide it.
The auction site remains neutral in this, so that is why I need help.

If you have in fact mailed the product, you have complied with your obligation. The problem is you probably can't prove you mailed it. Next time send it certified mail, return receipt requested.
