Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
my ex- oyfriend has 2 rental homes and 1 mobile home that he rents out. He purchased each place but when he decided to rent them out he asked me to write of rental agreements and put my name as one of the landlords, because he didn't want to have to deal with the tenants. Everything went through me: picking up rental payments, sending out letters to tenants, if there were problems they called me. Well we recently broke up and he still wants me to handle everything but when i told him that i would write out a business agreement and that i should receive a portion of the rent money, he refused. My question is eventhough i did not help him purchase any of rental properties am i entitled to a percentage of the rent money since the rental agreements have both of us listed as a landlord, i wrote and signed most of the rental receipts.

You were acting as his agent. You should be paid a salary and if it is agreed between you, this could be a percentage.
