The person contracted to build my home is not a licensed contractor and things are not going as planned. I have a typed contract with him but he is not licensed. What Can I do to get rid of him and not loss any more money.

If he has violated the contract then you should be able to end it. Not being licensed does not mean anything unless the contract says he is licensed and you relied on that. He may be in trouble with the Parish and/or State, but you should have not assumed anything. If he lied then you can terminate his services and go after him for anything he cost you by the lie.
Any attorney will also say a review of all facts, documents, etc. is required, along with some research.. In many states, like here in California, not being a licensed contractor voids the entire contract and all money paid must be returned. Contact your state's Contractor Licensing Board. Also consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
