Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
Sued
My dad has been recently sued and has to file citation within15 days to at the clerk of court...if the business no longer exist does he need to mail a letter stating that or is he still liable since he owned the company during that time.

If his "company" was properly set up as a corporation or LLC, then he should not be liable individually at all. He needs to speak with an attorney.
