Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana

Myself and my wife have been getting some pretty nasty phone calls about a debt that we are trying to pay. We are filing bankruptcy at the end of the week because of all the hospital bills we have gained over the years. I have recently been employed after being out of work for several months, he only calls my wife, even though he has my number. The bottom line is that we do owe money, i just cant pay it all at one time like he is demanding. Its just not possible right now. We are just now getting back on our feet. He is telling me that because my bank account was closed (due to a negative account ballance) that he is going to have me arrested for fraud. He spoke with my wife about an hour ago and said that he is holding the arrest warrent in his hand right now and all he has to do is sign off on it to have me arrested. Can he sign an arrest warrent? Is the only way to fix this by paying it in full immiedately? If so Im in really big trouble because theres no way i can. Ive offered to make payments, its only 500.00. I either pay them the money and not rent, electricity, food ect. What should I do in this matter?

He can't sign an arrest warrant. Once you declare bankruptcy, they will not be allowed to contact you or your wife anymore. Talk to your bankruptcy lawyer about it.
