Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana
I had work performed on my car at an audio business and when the work was completed I found my prescription eyeglasses broken underneath the seat. They were undamaged before the car was worked on and left on the console. The manager says the sign says they are not responsible for this damage.
Is this true?

No, but you may still have a tough time proving that they broke your glasses. The sign does not absolve them from their own negligence, but you have a tough case to prove. If you want to file suit, you may do so in a Justice of the Peace court. You don't need a lawyer there and the loser pays the court costs.
