not my biological child

Do I have to pay support to a child that is not mines, but I had the childs last name changed to mine?

In general: yes.

Some courts have held that since you took on responsibility for the child (going so far as to give the child your namje), you can't change your mind. It's not the child's fault.

Unless there is someone else to take your place legally, you're going to be responsible for the child.

It depends on the document you filed to have the child's name changed to yours. Find an attorney and let him look it over.
