Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana

Do I have a case

A company took many out of my checking account the promised me that I would get a gov't grant for college so I enrolled in college. They took out more money than they had permission for I have bank statements to prove that they made a mistake. I would like to get the mone they said I would get in a grant and the money back that they took out of my checking account!! Can I do that??

Sounds a bit like a scam. No one should allow ANYONE permission to withdraw from their account. See a lawyer NOW! You certainly have a federal cause of action since possible bank fraud is involved. Make sure the authorization you gave them is rescinded.
