Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
civil rights for a child
Child protection showed up at my door Monday and said that they had a complaint against me, that my 5 yo has a diaper rash that is infected. That is not true! She asked my child to show her her butt, and my child said no. The lady called me today and told me she has set an appointment for my child to be examined and my child again said no. She has been sexually abused in the past and this will truamatize her if she is forced against her will. The have already done this exam for the same thing back in Nov. I don't understand how they have the right to force my child to get naked and take pics of her against her will. In my opinion that is sexual assualt, all to prove she doesn't have a diaper rash. I've tried to get them to do it in a way that it will not be traumatic to her, but was told if I do not bring her to this appointment and make her cooperate I will go to jail. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go to jail, but I'm not going to force her to take her clothes off for strangers and let them take pictures of her against her will. What are our rights as far as this goes? I thought anyone could say no when it comes to their own bodies, she shouldn't be traumatized over this.

Re: civil rights for a child
You should contact an Attorney personally. Your child is only 5 years old and this is the 2nd complaint about the same thing, and you said she had been sexually molested so you know the drill already. You know if you do not cooperate the court will get involved.
