What are the laws about being expelled from school? Are they suppost to suspend first?

The laws are different depending on the type of school, offense charged, and several other factors. If the school is a charter school or a private or parochial school, they are not subject to the same oversight that a public school is. There must be some sort of due process there and there must be an opportunity to be heard. Most school boards have an appellate review process. Call them and get a copy of their rules. Be sure you comply with the deadlines. Most cases are lost at that level because action is not taken timely.
