Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
Failure to Prosecute Under LR41.3W
I am representing myself, How do I show good cause why service of the summons and complaint was not made within 120 days ot the institution of a civil action suite. My reason for this is because I suffers from severe financial hardships, and I also take pain medication due to the severity of the metal plate in the left side of my face because I was involved in a domestic violence altercation and had to have my left eyesocket repaired whereas I wears a metal plate to the left side of my face. I hurts constantly. I also thought the courts was responsible for sending me the information because i had already filed a complaint with them. Please help me!

Re: Failure to Prosecute Under LR41.3W
When you represent yourself in court, you are held to the same standards as any attorney. Ignorance of the legal process is not an excuse for failing to follow procedure and I don't think any judge will accept that as an excuse.
