Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
Hello,
My issue is with a large telecommunications company based in Dallas, TX. I live in Louisiana, and I received service from them in La. My question is can i use a Texas-based attorney to write a letter on my behalf regarding a dispute I’m having with them, even though i live in La.? (I have acquaintances who practice law in Texas, so i can more easily ask them to handle the matter than look for an attorney.) thank you!

Yes. Using a Texas attorney would actually be best, since the company is in Texas and any likely litigation could be in Texas. Your being in Louisiana would not pose any problem for your Texas attorney.
