Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
I have a house guest who has caused me and my family nothing but heartache, since she got here. She has been here about 2 months. I told her that she needed to leave and she tells me that she has established residency here and I can't make her leave. Is she right?

If it is your property and there is no lease or other contractual obligation, you can have her removed either by police-misdemeanor-remaining after being forbidden or through an eviction proceeding. You cannot establish residency at a certain location and thus defeat eviction or removal.

What a joke! If she refuses to leave within 1 minute of you telling her to, call the police and charge her with trespassing.......
