Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana

landlord dispute

I have entered into a 10 year leasing contract with my landlord almost a year ago. I have recently been evicted on the grounds that the contract was not valid because the landlord was not the sole proprietor of the property. The landlord herself claims the contract is not valid because her siblings did not sign the contract or agreed to the contract. I have spent almost 100,000 dollars renovating the property since then. What can I do? Was the landlord commiting fraud? Or am I responsible for not making sure she was the sole owner of the property? Please help. I need guidence on this.

Re: landlord dispute

I certainly believe you have the right to recoup any amounts you paid to improve the leased property. You need to find a good attorney in the parish where the property is and take legal action.
