Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
Is it legal for a judge on a case to tell the opposing lawyer that if he were to submit a request for a summary judment she would probably rule in his favcr? This happened at the first informal pretial sit down meeting.

Probably. It would depend on exactly what was said. If the Judge used the word "probably" or said something like "unless I see some other evidence", it may not be totally inappropriate.
If you feel a Judge has done something wrong, you can file a complaint with the Judiciary Commission, whose job it is to oversee Judges' conduct on the bench. I beleive they have a web site of their own. If not, you can contact the Judicial Administrator's office in the Louisiana Supreme Court.
