Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
My Mother is in assisted living at Lambeth House in New Orleans. They have just made the decision to move her to nursing. I think the move would kill her. She has Alzheimer's and does need a tremendous amount of help. But I'm there for hours every day. Is there any way to fight their decision?

Not really. You cannot force them to keep her there against their own rules.

The way to assure your mother is absolutely taken care of is to take her to your home. If you allow others to take care of her, you have to follow their rules if they are not harming her.
